1. Position the tractor so that wooden blocks (4) are under the drive wheels and the idler wheels.2. Release the air pressure in air spring (1).3. Use tooling (A) and a hoist, or a nylon strap and a vehicle with forks, to raise the bogie suspension.4. Remove bolts (2), and use two persons to remove roller (3) from the hub. The weight of the roller is 30 kg (65 lb). 5. Remove drain plug (6) and the O-ring seal, and drain the oil from hub (5). 6. Remove bolts (12), and remove cover (13) from hub (5).7. Remove bolts (14) and plate (15). Remove hub (5) from axle (7).8. Remove Duo-Cone seal (10) from hub (5).9. Remove Duo-Cone seal (9) from retainer (8).10. If necessary, remove bearings (11) from hub (5). The following steps are for installation of the bogie roller assembly.11. Lower the temperature of bearings (11). Using a press, install the bearings in hub (5). The inside diameter of the bearings, after assembly, should be 47.777 0.025 mm (1.8810 0.0010 in). If necessary, roll burnish or hone the bore to obtain the correct bore diameter.

The rubber seals and all surfaces that make contact with the seals must be clean and dry. After installation of the seals, put clean oil on the contact surfaces of the metal seals.12. Use tool (B) and install Duo-Cone seal (9) in retainer (8).13. Use tool (B), and install Duo-Cone seal (10) in hub (5).14. Put hub (5) in position on axle (7), and install plate (15) and bolts (14). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft).15. Apply 6V6640 Gasket Maker to the end of hub (5).16. Put cover (13) in position on hub (5), and install bolts (12).17. Use a small squeeze bottle with a pointed tip and fill hub (5) with 30 ml (10 oz.) of SAE 30 oil. Install the O-ring seal and drain plug (6) in hub (5).18. Use tooling (A) and a hoist, or a nylon strap and a vehicle with forks, to raise the bogie suspension.19. Use two persons to position roller (3) on the hub, and install bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb ft).20. Lower the bogie suspension, and inflate air spring (1) to a pressure of 427 34 kPa (62 5 psi).21. Remove the tractor from the wooden blocks.
