1. Remove two bolts (1).2. To help remove flywheel, install two long bolts into flywheel for handles.3. Remove remaining six bolts (1).4. Pull flywheel out of housing.5. Attach hoist and strap to flywheel (2).6. Remove two long bolts.7. Remove flywheel. The weight of the flywheel is 32 kg (71 lb).8. If flywheel ring gear needs to be replaced, position flywheel on a wooden block and drive ring gear off. The following steps are for the installation of the flywheel.9. If ring gear was removed, heat new ring gear to a maximum temperature of 204°C (400°F). Position ring gear on flywheel with part number on the crankshaft side. After gear has cooled, tap with a soft drift, to be sure ring gear is seated against flywheel shoulder. Apply 9S3263 Thread Lock to the threads of bolts (1).10. Line up marks indicated by arrows and position flywheel (2).11. Install bolts (1). Tighten bolts to a torque of 125 15 N m (90 11 lb ft).
