SUPPORT 4V3842 - Caterpillar

1. Open hood. 2. Loosen jam nut (3) on decelerator cable (2).3. Remove decelerator cable from the bracket and pulley (1).4. Loosen jam nut (5) on accelerator cable (4).5. Remove accelerator cable from the bracket and pulley (1). 6. Remove two bolts (6).7. Remove pulley and spacer (10).8. Remove tube (7).9. Remove tube (11).10. Remove wire strap (13) from bracket.11. Remove two bolts (8) from the top of bracket (9).12. Remove bolt (12) (not shown) from bottom of bracket (9). 13. Remove tube (15).14. Disconnect wires (16). Mark or identify for later installation.15. Remove clip (14). Use tool (A) to slide sleeve into engine head. 16. Disconnect hose (19).17. Use tool (B) to remove pin and clip (17).18. Remove three bolts (18).19. Remove the governor with the O-ring seal. Check seal for wear or damage, replace if necessary. For installation of the governor, reverse the removal steps. After installation, check the Fuel Setting Adjustment. Refer to Systems Operation Testing & Adjusting, Form No. SENR3583.
