Repair the D6R Series III with the procedure below.Safety
Personal injury can result from flame cutting or welding on painted areas.The effect of gasses from burned paint is a hazard to the person doing the cutting or welding.Do not flame cut or weld on painted areas.
Personal injury or death can result from fumes, gases and ultraviolet rays from the weld arc.Welding can cause fumes, burn skin and produce ultraviolet rays.Keep your head out of the fumes. Use ventilation, exhaust at the arc, or both, to keep fumes and gases from your breathing area. Prepare the surface on the tractor frame for welding.

Tack weld bar (1) and plate (2) to the tractor frame. Keep a 3 mm (0.118 inch) gap (E) between bar (1) and plate (2) and the lower engine enclosure. Keep a 12 mm (0.472 inch) gap (F) from the edge of bar (1) and the tractor frame.

Weld a continuous 6 mm (0.236 inch) fillet weld (5) on the underneath side of bar (1) and plate (2) .
