Remove the rear wheels.
Remove the service brakes.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace the O-ring seals that are worn or damaged.

Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove bolts (2) and tube assemblies (3).

Attach Tooling (A) and two suitable lifting devices onto tandem housing assembly (4). The weight of tandem housing assembly (4) is approximately 449 kg (990 lb).

Remove tandem housing assembly (4).

Remove O-ring seal (6).Installation Procedure
Install tandem housing assembly (4) in the reverse order of removal.

Ensure that lubrication port (X) is orientated vertically on both side of the machine.
Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft).Note: Do not use the four bolts that are on the corners of the final drive to pull the tandem housing against the final drive.
