The high position is used to store the lock pin. When the lock pin is in the high position, the cab is free to move. When you operate the cab riser, keep the lock pin in the high position.

The cab riser's lock pin in the medium position
The medium position is used in some service operations. Install the lock pin when you perform service operations underneath the cab riser. The lock pin is not required for regularly scheduled maintenance procedures. The cab's movement is restricted when the cab riser's lock pin is in the medium position.

Remove nut (2).
Drive out bolt (3).
Pull on handle (1) in order to remove the lock pin.
Reinstall the lock pin in the desired position.
Install bolt (3).
Tighten nut (2).
