General Information
The steering system shares a common hydraulic tank with the propel system, vibratory system, and fan system. The steering pump provides the oil to the steering manifold. The steering manifold directs supply flow to operate the steering system and provides charge pressure to the vibratory system and propel system.

The red and blue lines indicate two-way communication.Machine ECM (1) monitors input signals from front steering angle position sensor (6). The ECM energizes steering shunt solenoid (9) to enable the steering system.Machine ECM (1) evaluates input signals from steering unit encoder (5). The ECM uses the information to determine if an output signals should be sent to one of the following solenoids:
Front counterclockwise solenoid (7)
Front clockwise solenoid (8)Engine ECM (2) monitors the signal from hydraulic oil temperature sensor (11). The engine ECM sends temperature information to machine ECM (1) through CAN communication lines. When the machine electronic control system determines that the hydraulic oil temperature is below operating requirements, the machine ECM energizes warm-up solenoid (10).
