If a non-Caterpillar front linkage will be installed, such as a super long reach from an external supplier, it will be necessary to configure the machine for the non-Caterpillar front end. Refer to 374D and 390D Excavators Machine Electronic Control System, KENR8955, "Testing and Adjusting, Systems Operation", "Troubleshooting".
After installation of the front linkage/bucket/quick coupler, it will be necessary to calibrate the valves before any operation of the machine is done. Perform the boom and stick regeneration valve calibration, the boom lowering control valve calibration (if equipped) and the all valve calibration. Refer to 374D and 390D Excavators Machine Electronic Control System, KENR8955, "Testing and Adjusting, Systems Operation", "Troubleshooting".
