Modification for 7ZF, 4DJ, and 5SK1-327 Machines

7ZF, 4DJ1-1213, or 5SK1327 Machines Flanged tube (10). Replace 8R-9104 Tube with 5P-1506 Hose (11) .This procedure replaces the 8R-9104 Tube with a 66 cm (26 inch) hose.
Loosen the hose clamps and remove the 8R-9104 Tube (11) from the torque converter oil cooler. Refer to Illustration 4.
Install the remanufactured engine into the frame and install 66 cm (26.0 inch) of 5P-1506 Hose .
Install one end of the hose to the short flanged tube from the oil cooler. Clamp the hose securely with a hose clamp.
Install the other end of the hose onto the tube from the converter. Clamp the hose securely with a hose clamp.
Twist the hose slightly in order to go around the oil pan. The hose should have 12.0 mm (0.5 inches) (minimum) of clearance from the oil pan.

6YG, 5PJ, or 6LJ Machines Replace 6C-5497 Tube with a 106-6584 Tube and 5P-1506 Hose (11). Modification for 6YG, 5PJ, and 6LJ Machines
This procedure replaces the 6C-5497 Tube with a 106-6584 Tube and 5P-1506 Hose .
Remove the long 6C-5497 Tube with the four-bolt flange.
Install the remanufactured engine into the frame.
Install a new 106-6584 Tube (short) with the four-bolt flange.
Install 66 cm (26 inch) of 5P-1506 Hose .
Twist the hose slightly in order to go around the oil pan. The hose should have at least 12.0 mm (0.5 inch) clearance from the oil pan.
