Connect the steering frame lock.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Raise hood (1) by activating switch (2). Turn battery disconnect switch (3) to the OFF position.

Remove clamps (5). Remove tube and hose (4) as one piece.

Disconnect straps (6) and position straps (6) out of the way.

Remove ball clamp (7). Discard ball clamp (7).

Disconnect sensor (8).

Slide catalyst (9) out far enough to attach a suitable lifting device to catalyst (9). The weight of catalyst (9) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb). Use the suitable lifting device in order to remove catalyst (9). Installation Procedure
Install catalyst (9) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of sensor (8). Tighten sensor (8) to a torque of 45 5 N m (33 4 lb ft).
Install a new ball clamp (7). Tighten ball clamp (7) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1 lb ft) with a maximum of 75 RPM wrench speed.
Tighten straps (6). Tighten straps (6) to a torque of 15 3 N m (133 27 lb in).
