ACTION REQUIRED
The following steps are to determine the engine harness part number and whether it is the correct harness for the engine.
1. Locate label above starter / in front of emissions label on the harness. Refer to Image 1.
2. Pull the label straight and cut off close to the harness covering. Refer to Image 2.
3. Gently peel open the label on the "inside". Refer to Image 3.
4. Check part number. Refer to Image 4.
5. If the harness label part number is 5801508255 then the harness is correct and no replacement is needed.
If the harness label part number is 5801595062 then remove the harness and replace with correct CAT part number 4220647/">422-0647 / FPT part number 5801508255 Harness.
For harness replacement refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UNER0621 for instructions on disconnecting/connecting the harness from engine components.
