Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Inspect/Replace".

Remove bolts (1) and panel (2) .

Remove battery cables (4). Remove cable straps (3). Remove p-clip (5). Remove bolts (7). Remove battery (6) .

Remove plate (9). Reposition hoses (8). Remove harness assembly (10). Remove battery cable (11) and cable strap (13). Remove bolts (12) and electric starter motor (14) .Installation Procedure
Install electric starting motor (14) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten the nut (Terminal B) for cable assembly (11) to a torque of 10.4 0.6 N m (92.1 5.3 lb in).
