Place a suitable wood block between the rear axle housing and the rear main frame on both sides of the machine.Note: This will keep the axle housing from oscillating during the installation procedure.
Remove the lifting cables and Tooling (A) .

Install panel (17) and two bolts (18) .

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to steps (14) , as shown. The weight of the steps is 102 kg (225 lb). Position the steps in place on the machine.

Install four bolts (16) .

Install bolt (13) , the washer, and the nut.

Connect tube assembly (11) to the rear oscillating axle.

Connect hose assembly (10) to the rear oscillating axle.

Place bracket (8) in position and install two bolts (7) .
Connect grease tube (9) to the rear trunnion support.

Connect tube assembly (6) for the service brake. Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Put the harness in position and install three harness clips (2) and the bolts.
Connect grease tube (3) to the front trunnion support (4) .

Connect electrical connector (1) for the temperature sensor.
Fill the rear axle housing and the final drive assemblies with oil. For the correct procedure, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
Check the oil level of the hydraulic tank. For the correct procedure, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the machine that is being serviced.End By:
Install the rear tires and the rims. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tire and Rim (Rear) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install the crankcase guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
