Remove the cover plate on the front of the operator station.

Remove two screws (4) from connector J-1 (2) and connector J-2 (3). Disconnect the harness from the ECM.
Remove the four bolts that hold the ECM.
Remove the ECM.
Position the new ECM and instal the four bolts that hold the ECM.Note: Make sure that the replacement ECM is the correct part number.
Connect the harness to the ECM. Install two screws (4) to connector J-1 (2) and connector J-2 (3) .
Instal the cover plate.
Turn the battery disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position.Reference: For more information on loading the software refer to Systems Operation, Troubleshooting, Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Flash Program" for the machine that is being serviced.
