Refer to REBE9965, Service Letter, "PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR REWORKING ALL INNER BOLTS MAINTAINING THE SWING GEAR BEARING ON THE CARBODY ON CERTAIN 374D EXCAVATORS", before proceeding with this Rework Procedure.
After inspection of the potential swing gear bearing movement on the carbody, and movement between both components is found, continue with the attached Rework Procedure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove the swing bearing. Refer to KENR6406, Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Gear and Bearing - Remove", for additional instructions.
Note: When re-installing the swing bearing you must follow the instructions below for the assembly. Refer to KENR6406, Disassembly and Assembly, "Swing Gear and Bearing - Install", for additional instructions.
2. Degrease the swing bearing face receiving the bolts with suitable solvent or degreaser.
3. Degrease the new 171-9285 Bolts and 199-4501 Spacers with suitable solvent or degreaser before assembly.
4. Once dry, apply 5P-3931 Antiseize on the bolt threads.
5. Tighten the bolts to a specified pre-torque of 800 +/- 50 N.m plus an angle of 60 +/- -5 degrees.
6. Please note that the 171-9285 Bolts must be used in order to complete this Rework Procedure. Do NOT use 115-9772 Bolts (Service Repair).
