Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Remove and Install".
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, thoroughly clean the exterior of the component. Thoroughly cleaning the exterior of the component will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires and on all tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, all hoses, and all tubes in order to prevent fluid loss and contaminants from entering the system.
Drain the hydraulic tank into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the proper draining procedure.

Disconnect hose assembly (2) and hose assembly (3) from diverter valve (1).

Disconnect hose assembly (4) from diverter valve (1).

Disconnect the electrical harness from flow switch (7).
Disconnect hose assembly (5) and hose assembly (6) from diverter valve (1).
Loosen two clamps (10) and remove elbow (9) from diverter valve (1).
Attach a suitable lifting device to diverter valve (1). The weight of the diverter valve (1) is approximately 75 kg (165 lb).
Remove three bolts (8), diverter valve (1), and plate (11).
