Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact the skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Rotate the hub until the oil drain plug is facing downward.
Remove the oil drain plug and allow the oil to drain into a suitable container.

Apply 6V-5765 RTV Silicone Sealant to the threads of the oil drain plug and replace the plug.

Verify that oil filler plug (1) is facing upward.
Remove oil filler plug (1) and oil level plug (2) .
Fill the hub with oil. Refer to Owner Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities and Refill Capacities" for additional information.
Add oil until oil begins to drip from the oil level hole.
Apply 6V-5765 RTV Silicone Sealant to the threads of the oil level plug and the oil filler plug. Reinstall the plugs.
Check for any leaks and make any necessary repairs before you operate the fan.
