When reporting the repair, use "PI30859" as the Partnumber and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim DescriptionCode and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair isdone after failure, use "PI30859" as the Part Number, "7751" as the GroupNumber, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMSDescription Code. The information supplied in this serviceletter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Disable engine from starting
If fuel inlet and fuel return lines are not capped,do so, or connect hoses together to eliminate fuel spillage.
Loosen two 7/16" bolts under bracket supporting Deutchconnector (bolt holes have slotted openings
Remove bracket and sit aside far enough to removebolts and oil tube on fuel pump housing for servo valve.
remove 11/16" fitting on oil line to housing and rotatefitting 90 degree toward inside of engine.
Remove two 7/16" bolts from servo housing.
Carefully remove top of housing, servo valve, andspring (gasket part # 1084420)
Check for debris in servo valve. If none present reassemblein reverse order. If debris present continue.
Replace top of servo housing only - do not installvalve or spring.
10. Connect 1/2" ID x 4' long hose to 90 degreefitting out of valve housing11. Use cheesecloth or suitable material to strainoil.12. Place end of hose in bucket and crank overengine long enough to wash through 1 to 2 gallons of oil. Checked strainedoil for debris - if present repeat until strained oil shows no signs ofdebris.13. Remove cover and reinstall valve and springand reassemble in reverse order. Be certain to tighten 9/16" jam nut on90 degree fitting on oil line out of servo valve housing.Note: If package does not have batteriesinstalled, using battery pack, connect + to starter solenoid battery postand -to starter motor battery post. Jumper wire from wire #25 on solenoidto battery positive post on solenoid to crank engine and check for debrisas stated above.OWNER NOTIFICATION
