1. Start the machine, and put the bucket flat on the floor and the stick in a vertical position as shown.2. Remove the two nuts and retaining bolt (4). Remove pin (2). The weight of the pin is 23 kg (50 lb). Pull link body (3) out of the bucket. Remove two O-ring seals (1). 3. Fasten a hoist to link body (3). Raise the link body as shown. Remove the two nuts and retaining bolt (5). Remove pin (6) from the links and bucket cylinder rod. Remove link body (3). The weight of the link body is 84 kg (185 lb). The weight of pin (6) is 23 kg (50 lb). 4. Remove the two nuts and retaining bolt (7). Remove pin (8), right hand link (9) and left hand link (10). The weight of pin (8) is 14 kg (30 lb). The weight of the right hand link is 20 kg (44 lb). The weight of the left hand link is 23 kg (51 lb). 5. Remove two seals (11), four seals (14), two bushings (12) and two bushings (13) from the link body. 6. Remove seal (16) and bushing (15) from each side of the stick. The following steps are for the installation of the rod links.
Be sure the stick pin bore, link body bores, link bores, pins and O-ring seals are thoroughly clean and free of dirt prior to installation of the rod links.
7. Install two bushings (15) in the stick at the stick-to-rod link pin joint. Lower the temperature of bushings (15), and install them in the pin bore until each one is 5.0 0.3 mm (0.20 0.01 in) below the outside surface of the stick.8. Install two seals (16) in the pin bore of the stick. Install each seal with the sealing lip facing toward the outside of the stick, and until each one is 0.5 mm (0.20 in) below the outside surface of the stick.9. Install two bushings (12) and four bushings (13) in the link body as shown. Lower the temperature of the bushings, and install them in the pin bores. Install bushings (12) until each one is 5.0 mm (0.20 in) below the outside surface of the link body. Install bushings (13) until each one is centered in the pin bore of the link body.10. Install two seals (11) in the pin bore of the link body. Install each seal with the sealing lip facing toward the outside of the link body, and until each one is 0.5 mm (0.20 in) below the outside surface of the link body.11. Install four seals (14) in the pin bores of the link body. Install each seal with the sealing lip facing toward the outside of the link body, and until each one is 0.5 mm (0.02 in) below the outside surface of the link body.12. Put a thin coat of 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease on pin (8). Install right hand link (9), left hand link (10) and pin (8) as
