SWITCH 1477990 - Caterpillar

The bulldozer blade and machine must be level and on the ground before any work is done.
1. Fasten a strap and hoist to the lift cylinder. 2. Remove bolts (2), cap (1) and shims (3) from the bulldozer blade.3. Pull the lift cylinder in a small amount and put it on the cleaner bar. 4. Fasten a strap and hoist to the tag link. Remove bolts (4) and cap (5). Move the bulldozer blade slightly to the left and disconnect the tag link.5. Fasten two hoists to both ends of the bulldozer blade.6. Disconnect the tilt cylinder from the bulldozer blade and put it on the push arm. See REMOVE TILT CYLINDER.7. Disconnect the brace assembly from the bulldozer blade and put it on the push arm. See REMOVE BRACE ASSEMBLY. 8. Put blocks under the push arms. Remove cotter pins (7), pins (8) and pins (6). Remove the bulldozer blade. The weight of the bulldozer blade is 770 kg (1700 lb.).Install Dozer Blade (815B)
1. Install bulldozer blade (1) on push arms (2). Install the pins and cotter pins.2. Connect the brace assembly to the dozer blade. See INSTALL BRACE ASSEMBLY.3. Connect the tilt cylinder to the bulldozer blade. See INSTALL TILT CYLINDER.4. Fasten a strap and hoist to the tag link. Move the bulldozer blade slightly to the right until tag link is in position on the ball joint. 5. Install cap (3) and the bolts to the tag link.6. Fasten a hoist to the lift cylinder. Let the cylinder rod out until contact is made with the ball joint. 7. Install cap (6), original shims (5) and bolts (4). Check to make sure the cylinder rod does not bind. Add or remove minimum amount of shims until there is no end clearance.
