Note: Ensure that the mating surfaces of the bearings on the front idler, the support for the recoil spring assembly and the cylinder of the hydraulic track adjuster are clean and free of dirt prior to assembly .
Attach a suitable lifting device to front idler (1). The weight of front idler (1) is approximately 245 kg (541 lb). Install front idler (1) in the track roller frame.

Attach a suitable lifting device to recoil spring assembly (2). Install the recoil spring assembly, as shown. The weight of recoil spring (2) is approximately 279 kg (615 lb).
Install bolts (5) that hold recoil spring assembly (2) to front idler (1) .
Leave the suitable lifting device attached.

Attach a suitable lifting device to hydraulic track adjuster (3). The weight of hydraulic track adjuster (3) is approximately 52 kg (115 lb).
Install hydraulic track adjuster (3). Apply Tooling (A) on threads of setscrews (4) .
Install setscrews (4) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to the front idler and the recoil spring assembly. The weight of the front idler, recoil spring and hydraulic track adjuster is approximately 589 kg (1300 lb).
Rotate the front idler, recoil spring assembly (2), and the hydraulic track adjuster.
Apply a film of Tooling (B) on the top and bottom of each bearing of the front idler.
Apply a film of Tooling (B) on the guides for the bearing of the track roller frame.
Install the front idler partially into the track roller frame.

Attach a suitable lifting device to front idler (1) and the recoil spring assembly.
Install the front idler, the recoil spring and the hydraulic track adjuster into the track roller frame as a unit.End By: Connect the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Connect".
