Typical Example3. Disconnect two wires (1) from the switch.
To prevent possible personal injury, make sure the pressure in the air system is zero before any air lines are disconnected.
4. Disconnect hose assemblies (2), (3) and (5) from brake air check valve (4).5. Remove the bolts that hold the brake air check valve in position, and remove the valve from the cab. The following steps are for installation of the brake air check valve.6. Put brake air check valve (4) and the clip for the wire harness in position. Install the bolts that hold them.7. Connect the 200BK and 454GN wires (1) to the retarder switch. Hose assembly (2) is from the retarder control valve. Hose assembly (3) is from the brake relay valve. Hose assembly (5) is from the service brake control valve.8. Connect hose assemblies (2), (3) and (5) to the brake air pressure switch.9. Start By:a. remove brake air check valve 1. Remove the two bolts and cap (4) from body (1). Remove O-ring seal (5) from the cap.2. Remove shuttle (2) and guide (3) from body (1). The following steps are for assembly of the brake air check valve.3. Install guide (3) and shuttle (2) in body (1).4. Put O-ring seal (5) in position in cap (4).5. Put cap (4) in position on body (1), and install the bolts that hold it.End By:a. install brake air check valve
