Linkage 282-9546 Link is replaced by 333-9970 Link and linkage 282-9547 Link is replaced by 333-9971 Link. Installation of the 306-4186 Stop Plate is critical. The stop plate should engage the frame of the thumb when the stick is extended in the horizontal position. The weight of the thumb should pull the thumb away from the stick. When the stop plate does not contact the frame of the thumb with the stick in the horizontal position the stop plate must be enlarged or adjusted. The guide on the linkage of the thumb should not make contact with the stick in this position. If a thumb group does not have a stop plate, install a stop plate. Verify that the linkage does not bind through the entire rotation of the thumb. Review the installation of the entire thumb if linkages continue to break.
