Information:

1. Retract Telescopic stick in ful, place Clamshell bucket on the ground under fully-opened conditions, and release internal pressures from hydraulic systems. 2. Separate Bucket line within Telescopic stick from Hydraulic hose connecting Clamshell bucket cylinder. To prevent the entry of foreign materials, connect the right and the left Hoses together which have been separated. The use of selfseal coupling for this Hydraulic hose can allow simple connection and disconnection to be available with a quick touch action. * Self-seal Coupling Disconnection Method. Pull outside sleeve mounted on female Coupling with your fingers toward you, and male Coupling connected to the female one can be easily separated.* Self-seal Coupling Connection Method. While pulling outside sleeve mounted on female Coupling, strong push against Male coupling can allow the connection to be complete. 3. Disassemble Connection pin between Telescopic stick and Clamshell bucket. 4. Before the transportation of disassembled Clamshell bucket, lift the bucket by hooking Suspension arm mounting boss with slinger as shown left. 5. Assemble Clamshell bucket by following adverse procedures used when disassembling the bucket. To eliminate any connecting errors between "Open" and "Close", assemble Clamshell bucket by making sure of symbols "s" stamped at the side of "Close" and "O" done at that of "Open". 6. Place fully-extended Telescopic stick nose on the ground Follow the requirements as specified in "Machine Parking Procedure".7. Check Wire ropes for fraying, rubbing, Kinking, corroding, marked deformity, and any other abnormalities.8. For replacing and adjusting wire ropes, important services are required. Please be sure to contact your Caterpillar dealer before you replace and adjust the wire ropes.Check and maintain the following items befor starting your work.
