Installation Procedure
1. Remove the 2N-7638 Knob from the windshield release lever. Remove the six 9X-2044 Screws that hold the 4I-4279 Cover in the upper, rear corner of the cab. Remove the 4I-4279 Cover. The 2N-7638 Knob is secured with 9S-3263 Thread Compound.2. The existing wiring harness that is behind the cover assembly contains two leads with connectors which are not attached. The connectors from these wires must be removed in order to connect the leads to the 106-8153 Harness Assembly.3. Assemble the 7Y-5505 Speakers to the 4I-3041 Brackets. Use four 099-7127 Screws (M4) for each speaker assembly. Be sure the speakers are mounted to the brackets so that the speaker wires will be on the side nearest the radio when the brackets are installed.4. Thread the speaker wires through the holes in the cab ceiling that are located at the upper rear corner of the cab. Install the 4I-3041 Brackets with the attached speakers to the ceiling. Use three 6V-9673 Screws (M5) for each bracket. Be sure that the brackets and speakers are installed with the speaker wires closest to the radio.5. Cut the 106-8153 Harness Assembly to a length of 914 mm (36.0 in). Connect the 106-8153 Harness Assembly to the speaker wires, cab power wire, and ground wire as shown in the chart. 6. Connect the radio antenna wire to the existing cab antenna wire.7. Use the 111-7719 Cover to align the radio sleeve between the 4I-4237 and 4I-4239 Bracket Assemblies. Mount the rear of the radio sleeve to the cab with a fabricated metal bracket or strap (pipe strap). The mounting bracket should allow some flexibility, and should be secured to the cab with a sheet metal screw. A hole must be drilled into the cab ceiling for the machine screw.8. Remove four 9X-2044 Screws that are used to hold the 4I-4237 and 4I-4239 Bracket Assemblies and remove the bracket assemblies. These must be removed to allow clearance to assemble the 111-7719 Cover to the 4I-4279 Cover.9. Reinstall the 4I-4279 Cover with four 9X-2044 Screws. Two of the original screws will not be reused due to removal of the 4I-4237 and 4I-4239 Bracket Assemblies.10. Install the 111-7719 Cover to the 4I-4279 Cover with the four cover tabs. Adjust the sleeve position as necessary.11. Install the radio into the sleeve and test. If necessary, replace blown fuses; then correct wiring problems and retest.12. Reinstall the 2N-7638 Knob with 9S-3263 Thread Compound.
