ACTION REQUIRED
Replace the cylinders 393-1661 with 452-7945. To optimize the working of the Auto-connect also replace plate 393-1638 with 452-7946 and replace special rod 393-1642 change 00 with 393-1642 change 01 (393-1642 change 01 has a hexagon socket on the top. Replacement of special rod 393-1642 is recommenced in case the hexagon socket on the top is missing)
To replace the cylinders the cartridge can remain installed in the quick coupler. The quick coupler can remain installed on the machine.
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6576 for detailed instructions.
Required Tool: FT-3207 Impact Rod
Rework procedure:
1. Removal of contamination control cover.
Refer to Image 1
- Position with the machine the quick coupler with the contamination cover horizontally in upward direction and remove the contamination control cover.
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6576, "Cover (Quick Coupler) - Remove and Install - Contamination Control", "Removal Procedure".
 
2. Removal of sleeve assemblies
Refer to Image 2
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6576, "Coupler Cartridge - Disassemble", "Disassembly Procedure".
- Remove bolts (43) and plates (44) (5 qty).
- Position with the machine the quick coupler with the contamination cover horizontally in downward direction.
- Stop the engine on the host machine. Turn the ignition to OFF. Move the hydraulic control levers repeatedly through the full range of motion. This will release any pressure that may be present in the hydraulic system.
- Use Tooling FT-3207 and a suitable hammer to remove sleeve assemblies (5 qty).
3. Removal of the cylinder, base plate and the rod:

- Remove bushings (58), the nuts (55), nut (57), and plate (56)

- Remove hydraulic cylinders (59)
Refer to Image 5
- Remove nut (64), nut (65), and rod (66)
4. Assembly of all parts
- Get cylinders (2 qty 452-7945), nuts (2 qty 434-3072), plate 452-7946 and (if necessary) special rod (393-1642 change 01)
- Re-use bushings (2 qty 393-1643)
- To assemble all parts refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6576, "Coupler Cartridge - Assemble", "Assembly Procedure".
