Installation Of Overhead And Front Guards
(1) On the lower front cab post, drill two 13 mmØ (.50"Ø) holes (D) at the dimension shown (each post). Remove four bolts (1) from the top of the cab and remove four bolts (2) from the front at the locations shown; these are not needed again. (2) Install 5V1769 Support Assembly (3) with two L1178 Bolts (4), 2S115 Washers and two S1585 Bolts (5) with 2M849 Washers. Install four S1587 Bolts (6) with 2M849 Washers. Install overhead guard (7) with four 1D4600 Bolts (8) and 4D3704 Washers. At the front, install 4H1621 Block (9) with 1D4585 Bolt (10), two 4D3704 Washers (11) and one 1D4720 Nut (12) as shown (both sides). Tighten nut (12) tight enough to remove any end play from between the bolt and overhead guard (7). If the machine is already equipped with an overhead guard, remove the existing support assembly (13) and install the new 5V1769 Support Assembly (3) as shown. (3) Remove the four mounting bolts that hold the platform to the upper frame. Lift the platform and cab high enough to permit 9V1716 Block (14) to be installed inside of each cab post. While holding the block in position, install 9V4785 Plate Assembly (15) with two 3B1915 Bolts (16) and 5P1075 Washers (both sides). Lower the platform and again install the four mounting bolts. Install 8V7487 Bracket Assembly (17) in the center of plate assembly (15) with two 1B7182 Bolts (18), 5P4116 Washers and 1D4716 Nuts. Install 8V7476 Guard Assembly (19) to support assembly (3) with two 1D4610 Bolts (20) and 1K6870 Locknuts. Install 8V7489 Latch Assembly (21) and 8G873 Spring (22) as shown. Install 5D8902 Bumper (23) with a 1A8285 Nut. Use 5P1075 Washers (24) as necessary for shims. Install 9V4788 Spring Assembly (25) [gas] to guard (19) and bracket (17) with 9V4787 Ball Stud (26), 4M5280 Nut (27) and 9V4786 Clip (28) as shown (both sides).
