1. Remove spacer (1).2. Remove retaining bolts (2) and upper cap (3). 3. Position a floor jack under lower cap (5), and remove the three lower cap retaining bolts (4). 4. Remove lower cap (5), upper bearing cone (6), lower bearing cone, and lower bearing cup (7)-weight 85 lb. (39 kg). 5. Remove the upper bearing cup (8) from frame.6. Remove the lip-type seals from upper and lower caps.Install Lower Pivot Pin Bearings
1. Install the seals in upper and lower caps so lip of seals is away from bearing cones when caps are installed.2. Lubricate the lip of seals and the upper and lower bearing cones with a multi-purpose type grease. 3. Install the upper bearing cup (1) in frame.4. Place the bearing cones, lower bearing cup, and lower cap on the floor jack. Using the jack, position the bearing cones, cup, and cap on frame.5. Install the three lower cap retaining bolts. 6. Position upper cap (2) on frame. Install four evenly spaced retaining bolts. Tighten the diagonally opposite bolts an equal amount. Repeat procedure until the four bolts are tightened to 130 5 lb. ft. (18,0 0,7 mkg).7. Check to be sure lower cap (4) is tight against frame.8. Using a thickness gauge (3), measure the gap between upper cap and frame at each of the four bolt locations.9. Remove upper cap (2). Reinstall upper cap with shims equal in thickness to the minimum measured gap.10. Install and tighten the upper cap retaining bolts to 150 20 lb. ft. (20,7 2,8 mkg). 11. Install upper spacer (5).concluding step: a) connect loader main frames
