Note: Disassembly of bucket from the frame assembly is not necessary.Note: If the bucket already has substantial cracking in the rework areas, then this kit cannot be properly installed on the bucket.

(A) Existing plates
Remove paint and any debris from all surfaces to be reworked and welded.
Remove existing plates (A) and grind surface smooth.
Fill any cracks that may exist with weld.

(W1) 8 mm (0.31 inch) fillet weld
(B) Dimension is 15.0 mm (0.59 inch)

Position and weld new plate (1) to the rear of the bucket as per dimension shown in Illustration 3. Similarly position and weld other plate (1) on the other edge to the rear of the bucket. Refer to Illustration 2.Note: Rear plates (1) are identical and interchangeable.

Prepare inside the bucket in the same manner as the rear of the bucket. Remove any paint or any debris on the surface to assure a strong weld.

(W2) 10 mm (0.40 inch) all around groove weld
Locate plate (2) and plate (3) leaving approximately 10 mm (0.40 inch) of weld shelf with the vertical plate. Refer to Dimension (C) in Illustration 5.Note: Plates contain the part number for clear identification.
Apply weld all around plate (2) and plate (3) to secure the reinforcement plate.
Apply primer to the welded area after the metal has cooled completely.
Allow the primer to dry completely before applying paint to the repaired areas.
Allow the paint to dry completely.Note: Installing a three piece cutting edge will provide more rigidity to the bucket structure. Refer to Service Magazine, M0070586, "New Cutting Edge for Bucket Is Now Available for Certain Small Wheel Loaders" for more information.
