This engine pre-warmer is operated using the switch panel in the cab.Preparation
Please make sure the following items before operating the engine pre-warmer.a) The fuel level is correct in the fuel tank, and the fuel filter is not clogged with dust.b) There is no leakage on the hot water piping.c) There is no air trapped in the hot water circuit of the engine pre-warmer. If there is air trapped in the circuit, bleed air from the circuit thoroughly. (See page 13 for air bleeding procedure)Operation
Switch Panel
The switch panel in the operating cab contains an operation switch, a secondary fuse, and three indicator lights. Operating procedure
1) [Fuel priming] Put the operation switch in the RUN position for approximately 10 seconds to prime fuel before pre-warming. This procedure should be operated always when the engine pre-warmer has not been used for a long time or when the temperature is extremely low.2) [Pre-warming] Turn the operation switch to the ON position (the ON indicator light (orange) comes on). Normally wait for approximately 1 minute for pre-warming. If the temperature is extremely low, wait for 2 to 3 minutes.3) [Operation] Turn the operation switch to the RUN position after approximately 1 minute from pre-warming. The RUN indicator light (green) comes on, and the ON indicator light comes out in 2 or 3 minutes. Turn the operation switch back to the ON position to restart the procedure if the RUN indicator light does not come on in approximately 3 minutes.Stop
1. Turn the operation switch back to the OFF position. The engine stops completely when the RUN indicator light goes out in 3 to 5 minutes. (A) Turn the operation switch back to the OFF position and inspect the secondary fuse 15A if the ON indicator (orange) does not come on when fuel is primed by turning the operation switch to the RUN position. There is a possibility that the water pump is locked due to freezing of the coolant circuit if the secondary fuse 15 A is melted down. Remove the cause and replace the secondary fuse 15 A.(B) Do not turn off the engine pre-warmer by disconnecting the battery isolator switch of the vehicle directly. Care should be taken because not only malfunction but also damage and fire of the engine may be caused from overheating around the combustion chamber if the engine pre-warmer is stopped before the RUN indicator light (green) goes off. Make sure to turn the operation switch back to the OFF position on the switch panel when the engine pre-warmer is stopped, and wait the RUN indicator light goes out
