Remove bolts (3) from clips (4).
Remove harness assembly (2) and clips (4) from the Clean Emissions Module (CEM).
Use Tooling (A) in order to remove Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) sensor (1) from the assembly of the CEM.

If necessary, follow Step 4.a thorough Step 4.d in order to remove NOx sensor control module (6) from bracket (8).
Cut cable straps (9) from the harness assembly. Note: Ensure that all cable straps are removed for the harness assembly.
Disconnect the harness assembly from connection (5) on NOx sensor control module (6).
Remove bolts (7) from NOx sensor control module (6).
Remove NOx sensor control module (6) from bracket (8). Installation Procedure

Anti-Seize Compound 1
Ensure that all components are clean and free from wear and damage. If necessary, replace any components that are worn or damaged.

If necessary, follow Step 2.a thorough Step 2.d in order to install NOx sensor control module (6) to bracket (8).
Position NOx sensor control module (6) from bracket (8).
Install bolts (7) to NOx sensor control module (6). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 10 N m (89 lb in).
Connect the harness assembly to connection (5) on NOx sensor control module (6).
Install new cable straps (9) to the harness assembly. Note: Ensure that all cable straps meet OEM specification.

Typical example
Lightly lubricate the threads of NOx sensor (1) with Tooling (B).
Use Tooling (A) to install NOx sensor (1) into the CEM. Tighten the NOx sensor to a torque of 50 N m (37 lb ft).
Position harness assembly (2) and clips (4) onto the CEM.
Install bolts (3) to clips (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 N m (248 lb in).
