Assemble the left side gate using the above illustration.
Use the list of parts retained in Step 10.

Attach a suitable lifting device, Tool (B), and bolt (6) to the left plate assembly (5). The weight of plate assembly (5) is approximately 195 kg (430 lb). Install plate assembly (5) and bolt (8) and .
Install the updated 378-5621 Cable As and bolt (6) .
Connect cable (7) .

Install ladder (4), the bolts, and the clamp.

Attach a suitable lifting device to plate assembly (3). The weight of plate assembly (3) is approximately 110 kg (243 lb). Install plate assembly (3) and the bolts.

Install the rubber seal, plates (2), and bolts (1) .
Install the lower rotor drive sheave. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Lower Sheave (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.
Install the rotor drive belt. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "V-Belt (Rotor Drive) - Remove and Install" for the correct procedure.Assemble and Install Updated Right Side Gate

Assemble the left side gate using the above illustration.
Use the list of parts retained in Step 13.

Install plate (14) and the bolts.
Install the right side gate pulley with bolt and then install the updated 378-5623 Plate () and bolt.Note: On 2.2 m machines install the updated 387-1757 Cable Guard .
Install pulley (15) and the bolt.
On 2.0 m machines, connect the updated 378-5622 Cable As (18). Temporarily position the cable assembly out of the way.
On 2.2 m machines, connect the updated 378-5627 Cable As (18). Temporarily position the cable assembly out of the way.
Remove the bolt and cover (19) .
Install grade sensor (13) and the bolts.
Connect harness assembly (17) .

Attach Tooling (B) to right side gate assembly (11). The weight of gate assembly (11) is approximately 196 kg (432 lb).
Install right side gate assembly (11) and bolt (12) .

Install the right gate cable and bolt (10) .
Connect grade sensor cable (9) .
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Start the machine.
Lift the machine to the service height position and remove the rear leg locks.
Remove Tooling (A) from the front of the machine.
Check for proper operation of updated side gates.
