Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Shut off the fuel supply to the fuel shutoff solenoid valve (2). Disconnect the fuel supply at the fuel inlet (4).
Disconnect the electrical connection (1).
Remove the two C-clamps, if equipped.
Remove the bracket, if equipped.
Remove the fuel shutoff solenoid valve from the connection (3). Move the assembly to a suitable work bench.
Remove the two nipples (5) from the fuel shutoff solenoid valve (2). Installation Procedure

Install the two nipples (5) to the fuel shutoff solenoid valve (2).
Install the fuel shutoff solenoid valve to the connection (3).
Install the bracket, if equipped.
Install the two C-clamps, if equipped.
Connect the electrical connection (1).
Connect the fuel supply at the fuel inlet (4). Turn on the fuel supply to the fuel shutoff solenoid valve (2).
