(8) Power Train ECMPower train ECM (8) is located behind the seat and a panel at the rear of the operator compartment.Power train ECM (8) receives input from sensors that are located throughout the machine. The ECM uses this input in order to control the operation of the outputs of the ECM, including the brake control valve, the transmission modulating valves, and the priority valve. (5) Service Brake Pedal (6) Decelerator Pedal (9) Rotary Position SensorService brake pedal (5) is connected to rotary position sensor (9). Rotary position sensor (9) sends a signal to the power train ECM. The power train ECM controls the proportional solenoid for the brakes.

(10) Crank Speed/Timing SensorCrank speed/timing sensor (10) is located on the front left of the engine block. The crank speed/timing sensor transmits the speed of the engine to the power train ECM by measuring the speed of the crankshaft.

(11) Torque Divider Housing (12) Torque Converter Output Speed Sensor (13) Torque Converter Temperature SensorTorque converter output speed sensor (12) is located on the rear of the torque converter housing. This sensor transmits the speed of the torque converter output shaft to the power train ECM.Torque converter temperature sensor (13) sends a signal to the power train ECM. Cat Advisor monitors this temperature measurement. Cat Advisor uses this data to drive the torque converter oil temperature gauge. The torque converter oil temperature gauge is located in the instrument cluster.

(14) (15) Transmission Output Speed SensorsTransmission output speed sensors (14) and (15) are located behind a cover. The transmission output speed sensors transmit the speed and direction of the output shaft to the power train ECM. The transmission output speed sensors are located inside the transmission and bevel gear case.

(16) Finger Tip Control (FTC) (17) Left Steer Lever Position Sensor (18) Right Steer Lever Position SensorThe Finger Tip Control (FTC) console is located at the front of the left armrest. The position sensors for the left and right steer are internal to the FTC. Left turns are accomplished by pulling back on the left lever (17) and right turns with the right lever (18). Pulling the left steering lever approximately one-half of the levers travel distance proportionately disengages the left steering clutch. Pulling the left lever the full distance proportionately applies the left brake. The right steering lever operates in the same manner.
