Start By:
Remove the work tool from the machine.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove cylinder (1). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Cylinder Remove and Install (Tilt-Cylinder)" for the correct procedure.

Remove bolts (2) and reposition bracket (3).
Repeat step 1 and step 2 to the other side of the Tilt -Rotator.

Remove the screws and reposition manifold (4).

Disconnect lubrication lines (5). Repeat step 5 to the other side of the Tilt -Rotator.

Remove screws (7) .
Disconnect hose assemblies (8) from valve lube (6). Remove valve lube (6)

Attach suitable lifting device to frame (9). Refer to the Table 2 for the weight information of frame (9).

Use Tooling (A) to remove pin (10). Remove bolt (12), pin (10), and plug (11). Repeat step 9 to the opposite side of the Tilt-Rotator. Remove frame (9).

Remove bearings (13) from frame (9).

B - Rubber Hammer 1
Install frame (9) in the reverse order of the removal.
Tighten bolts (12) to a torque of 120 N.m (89 lb ft).
Lubricate ring bearings (14) using grease.
Use Tooling (B) to install pin (10).
