The battery disconnect switch is located in the engine compartment on the back of the machine.
OFF - In order to deactivate the electrical system, turn the key counterclockwise.
ON - In order to activate the electrical system, insert the key and turn the switch in a clockwise direction. The switch must be in the ON position in order to start the engine. The functions of the battery disconnect switch and the engine start switch are different. When the battery disconnect switch is turned to the OFF position, the entire electrical system is disabled. When the engine start switch is turned to the OFF position, the battery remains connected to the electrical system.Remove the key when you exit the machine for an extended period of time. Also, remove the key when you service the electrical system.
Never move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position while the engine is operating. Serious damage to the electrical system could result.
