Information:

The primary method of providing the operator with guidance information is to use the monitor display that is inside the cab. A secondary method that can be used to provide guidance for the operator is to use an optional light bar. The light bar contains 12 amber Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) (1) and three green LEDs (2) centered between the amber LEDs. This LED array provides a visual indication to the operator. The light bar uses communications port (serial port) 3 to communicate with the on-board system. The light bar harness and wiring in the 286-0139 Monitor Wiring Gp directly connects to the 383-3027 Wiring Harness (front harness) connector M-C5. Installation Procedures
Orient the light bar with the LEDs facing the operator and the connector harness away from the operator. The light bar can be mounted vertically or horizontally. For a vertical (non-inverted) installation, place the long side of the light bar on the left and the short side on the right. If the light bar is installed with the long side on the right, select "Inverted" in the Machine Configuration Utility (MCU).ReferenceRefer to ""Configuring the On-board Software"" if the light bar will be inverted. For a horizontal installation, place the long side of the light bar on the bottom and the short side on the top.Choose a location that protects the light bar from damage during normal operation of the machine. Choose a location that allows the light bar to be connected to the 383-3027 Wiring Harness (front harness).Note: The 313-2094 Monitor Harness (light bar harness) is approximately 3 m (10 ft). The harness attached to the light bar is 30 cm (12 inch).Observe the following safety standards when choosing the location for the light bar:
The operator must have an unobstructed view of the light bar and the monitor display.
The light bar should not affect the direct view of the operator or the mirrored view of the work environment.
The light bar should not affect the normal method of entering the cab or exiting the cab.
The machine may be involved in a collision or may roll over. In these circumstances, the light bar should not expose the operator or a person in a trainer seat to the potential of additional impact injury.
The light bar should not obscure the operator from viewing safety films that are within the cab.
The light bar should not interfere with the operation of the gear shift or other operator controls.
The light bar should not cause any discomfort to the resting position of the arm or the leg of the operator.Installing the Light Bar
