Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the hydraulic oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".

Disconnect hose assemblies (3), (4), and (6) from main control valve (7). Remove clamp (5). Cut the cable straps and reposition hose assemblies (3), (4), and (6).

Disconnect tube assembly (8) and hose assemblies (9).

Remove bolts (11) and disconnect block assembly (10) from main control valve (7).

Remove clamp (17). Cut cable strap (18) and disconnect harness assembly (19). Reposition harness assembly (19).

Attach Tooling (A) to main control valve (7). The weight of main control valve (7) is approximately 295 kg (650 lb).
Remove mounting bolts (25). Remove main control valve (7).
