Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Remove bolts (1) and guard (2).

Disconnect harness assembly (4).
Remove bolts (3) and relief valve (5).

Remove O-ring seal (6).
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for the remaining relief valves. Installation Procedure

Keep components covered and protected at all times.Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Install O-ring seal (6).

Position relief valve (5) and install bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft). Connect harness assembly (4).
Repeat Steps 1 and 2 for the remaining relief valves.

Position guard (2) and install bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).
