M300C MH Boom Dampening System (Without Lowering Valve) (1) Accumulators (2) Ball valveDampening for the head end of the boom cylinders is accomplished by four accumulators (1) that are mounted to the left side of the boom. Dampening for the rod end of the cylinders is accomplished by an orifice in the drain line to the tank. Opening ball valve (2) enables dampening of the rod end of the boom cylinders. The performance of the boom is not affected when ball valve (2) is in the OPEN position. Dampening for the head end of the boom cylinders is always active.Close ball valve (2) when the machine is required to maintain a constant downward force and a position or when the machine is parked. Boom drift will increase through the rod end of the cylinder when ball valve (2) is in the OPEN position. Boom drift will occur when an upward force is applied to the implement and the joystick is in the NEUTRAL position or when the engine is stopped.
