Typical Accumulator (A) Nitrogen charging valveA new nitrogen charging valve for use in accumulators has a higher pressure rating. The new nitrogen charging valve is more reliable. Also, the new nitrogen charging valve holds the precharge pressure more effectively. The new nitrogen charging valve has a replaceable core.
The gas valve can blow out without warning if loosened while there is still nitrogen gas in the accumulator.This can cause personal injury.Do not attempt to remove the gas valve until all nitrogen gas pressure has been released.
Note: When you install a new nitrogen charging valve, refer to the appropriate service information for your machine.The new 188-9390 Valve directly replaces the former 148-2600 Valve or the former 169-4811 Valve. The new 188-9390 Valve uses a 190-3850 Core. The 190-3850 Core is available through the parts system. Refer to Table 1 in order to determine the parts usage and the model usage of the new nitrogen charging valve.Note: The 190-3850 Core can also be used in the former 148-2600 Valve.
