Install Tooling (B) on an overhead hoist. Install suitable clevis (11) and lifting straps (12) to Tooling (B). Attach clevises (11) to the tie down brackets that are under the front of the tractor.

Position a lift truck at the front of the tractor. Install Tooling (C) on both sides of the lift truck. The lift truck is used in conjunction with the overhead hoist in order to support the tractor. The lift truck is used in conjunction with the overhead hoist in order to move the tractor away from the trailing unit.

Install Tooling (D). Tooling (D) supports the weight of the trailing unit. Install Tooling (E). No weight should be on Tooling (E) .

Pivot steering cylinder (12) in order to remove seal face (14). Two seal faces are located at the ends of each cylinder. The seal faces are located on the top and on the bottom of the ends of the cylinders.

Remove O-rings (14). An upper O-ring and a lower O-ring is located on each of the steering cylinders. Remove bolts and washers (15) that hold the pins for the pivots in place. Inspect the O-rings that are located on the washers. Replace the O-rings if the O-rings are damaged.

Remove bolt (20) and the washer.

Install Tooling (F). Tooling (F) is used in order to remove the upper pin from the hitch.

Install Tooling (G). Tooling (G) is installed in order to prevent the oscillating hitch from moving once the separation of the machine has taken place. Secure Tooling (G) at the top of the truck bed. Place the cable for Tooling (G) under the upper pivot point of the oscillating hitch. Secure a lifting strap onto the top of the truck bed. Attach the lifting strap onto Tooling (G). Install Tooling (H). Tooling (H) is installed in the threaded holes of the adjusting bolts for the thrust washer. Place paper towels under Tooling (H) in order to cushion the force of the pin as the pin is removed. Remove the upper pin for the center pivot. Invert Tooling (F) in order to push out the lower pin for the center pivot. Place a cushion of towels on the floor directly under the lower pin. Remove the lower pin for the center pivot.

Remove Tooling (F) .
The lift truck is used in conjunction with the overhead hoist in order to move the tractor away from the trailing unit. You may now separate the tractor from the trailing unit.
