Self-Excited Generator SetsTwo voltage regulators are now available for Self-Excited SR4 Generators. A 2:1 volts/Hz characteristic is available with the new flat top regulators. It provides significant improvement in the transient response performance, the recovery of the voltage and frequency when the generator set experiences a change in load.
The VR3F Voltage Regulators are available for 3500 Series, Self-Excited SR4 Generators. The 4P6845 Regulator Assembly VR3F utilizes 240 volt sensing and is available with attachment number 6I2963 Regulator Group. The 4P7108 Regulator Assembly VR3F utilizes 480 volt sensing and is available with attachment number 6I2964 Regulator Group. It is adaptable to first production.
Today the VR3F regulator is only available for self-excited generators. However, a VR3F type regulator for permanent magnet excited generators should be available in the fourth quarter of 1993.
