Introduction
This test is designed to determine the flow rate of the charge pump.Required Tools

Apply the parking brake.

Frame Lock Pin and Articulation Yoke (1) Articulation yoke (2) Lock pin
Install frame lock pin (2) in the hole that is provided in the articulation yoke (1) .
Raise the hood.

Pump Flow Test (3) Port S (4) Port P
Tool (A) should be installed between the charge pump and port P (4) .
Start the engine and run the engine at high idle at 2310 45 RPM. Check the hydraulic temperature with Tool (B) until the hydraulic oil temperature is at a minimum of 38°C (100°F).
Record the flow rate at the flow meter.
Stop the engine. Connect line (4). Install Tool (A) between the charge pump and port S (3) .
Record the flow rate at the flow meter.
Now add up the two recorded flow rates. The sum of the flow rates should be 56 1.2 L/min (14.8 0.3 US gpm).
If the flow rate is not correct, refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Steering System Troubleshooting".
If the flow rate is correct, remove tooling and reconnect lines.
