Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".

(1) Quick coupler valve
(2) Port (MA) pressure reducing valve (lock)
(3) Port (MB) pressure reducing valve (unlock)
Remove the fitting from port (MA) and the plug from port (MB). Install tooling (C) at each location.
Attach tooling (B) to the pressure taps at port (MA) and port (MB).Note: Alternatively, tooling (B) can be installed directly to the lines from port "A" or port "B".
Clear all personnel from the machine and the area around the machine.
Start the engine.
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46 to 60° C (115 to 140° F).Test Procedure
To check pressure at port (MB), first activate quick coupler unlock on the monitor menu. Then, stall any implement and record the pressure at port (MB).Note: For details for locking and unlocking the coupler, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
To check pressure at port (MA), stall any implement and record the pressure at port (MA) while the quick coupler is locked.
If installed, ensure that the bucket is locked. Lower the bucket/stick to the ground, and shut off the engine.Adjustment Procedure
Note: Ensure the pressure at port (MB) is properly adjusted first before adjusting the pressure at port (MA).If one of the pressures was not with specifications, adjust the corresponding pressure reducing valve as follows:
Loosen the locknut on the valve.
Turn the adjustment screw clockwise to increase pressure or counterclockwise to decrease the pressure. One turn of the adjustment screw equals approximately 6500 kPa (943 psi).Note: Always make the final pressure adjustments on the pressure rise.
Tighten the locknut.
Repeat the test procedure to ensure that the pressures are within specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
Once the pressures are within specifications, remove the tooling from the machine and reconnect the hose that was removed.
