Loosen three hose clamps (11). Disconnect three hoses (10) from the water pump.
Remove four nuts (12) in order to remove the water pump from the cylinder block.

Remove water pump (13). Remove seal (14) from spacer (15). Remove spacer (15) from the cylinder head.

Remove seal (16) from spacer (15) .
Clean the mounting faces of the cylinder block. Clean spacer (15) and the plate on the rear of water pump (13) .Note: This concludes the removal of the water pump on the 906.Installation Procedure
Note: The water pump on the 902 is different from the water pump on the 906. The procedures are similar. Both pumps will be shown.

Install seal (16) onto spacer (15) .

Install spacer (15) on the cylinder head. Install seal (14) on the other side of spacer (14). Install water pump (13) onto the studs and spacer (15) .

Install four nuts (12) that fasten the water pump to the cylinder block.
Install three coolant hoses (10) to the water pump. Install three hose clamps (11) .

Install gasket (14) on the rear of water pump (13) .
Install plate (15) on the back of water pump (13). Secure plate (13) and gasket (14) with five bolts (17).
Install gasket (16) on the back of plate (15) .
Place water pump (13) in position. Secure the water pump with three nuts and one bolt (12) .
Install hose (10) to water pump (13). Secure hose (10) on water pump (13) with hose clamp (11) .

Install water pump pulley (8). Install four bolts (9). Bolts (9) secure the water pump pulley to the water pump.
Install alternator belt (7) .Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7137 or Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7415 for information concerning the tension on the alternator belt.

Install cover (4). Install two bolts (3) at the top of belt guard (4) .

Install one bolt (2) at the bottom of belt guard (4) .

Install one bolt (1) at the bottom of belt guard (4) .
Fill the radiator with coolant.Note: Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7137 or Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7415 for information concerning the proper type and the proper quantity of coolant.
Start the engine.
Check the engine for any coolant leaks.
