1. If the truck is equipped with an AETA (Automatic Electronic Traction Aid), disconnect the wires from the speed sensor in axle housing (2). Remove the guard and speed sensor from the axle housing.2. Move the brake lines and hoses away from the axle housing.3. The weight of axle housing (2) is 782 kg (1725 lb). Fasten a hoist to the axle housing. 4. Remove bolts (1) and the axle housing from the machine. Remove guide (3) from the housing if necessary. The following steps are for the installation of the rear axle housing.5. Put guide (3) in position in housing (2), and install the bolts that hold it.6. Make sure all contacting surfaces are clean and free of grease, burrs and paint. Put axle housing (2) in position on the machine, and install bolts (1) that hold it. Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 1125 100 N m (820 75 lb ft).7. If the machine is equipped with an AETA (Automatic Electronic Traction Aid), install the speed sensor and guard in housing (2).
