(9) Pump case drain filterAuger (3) has a totally independent hydraulic system. The hydraulic system includes the following components.

Hydraulic coolerThe hydraulic system provides optimum speed and optimum torque at auger (3) .Auger (3) should be rotating clockwise when the machine is both loading and unloading. Piston motor (2) is a two-speed motor. Auger (3) normally rotates at 51 RPM. When the load on auger (3) significantly increases, the speed of the auger will decrease to the lower speed. This will provide increased torque in order to finish loading the scraper bowl.

(10) Reverse switch
Reversing the auger can cause serious damage to the support bridge. In order to prevent damage to the support bridge do not reverse the auger more than 178 25 mm (7 1 inch).
The direction of the auger may be reversed. If auger (3) becomes jammed, auger (3) may manually be jogged in a counterclockwise direction by operating reverse switch (10) .Auger (3) has the following three important components that experience the most wear:

(14) Scraper power limiter controlScraper power limiter control (14) is located to the right of the operator. This control reduces the power of the scraper engine. This control also reduces tire slippage. This control is only found on wheel tractor-scrapers that are equipped with a rear engine.

(15) Auger ControlNote: When auger control (15) is in the ON position, scraper power limiter control (14) will operate. Scraper power limiter control (14) will not operate when auger control (15) is in the OFF position.When scraper power limiter control (14) is on, a signal is sent to a solenoid on the rear engine. This solenoid blocks the turbocharger boost that comes from the aftercooler. When the solenoid blocks the signal, the governor thinks that the engine is receiving low boost. This tells the governor that the engine needs a low amount of fuel. The low amount of fuel causes the engine to have less power.Electronic Monitoring System (EMS)
