These fender assemblies and support assemblies are the service replacements for the former fender assemblies and support assemblies used on the above machines. Modifications must be made to the head light and turn signal wiring harnesses before the new parts can be installed. The turn signal wires must be put through a tube on the fender or support. This tube gives protection to the wires. See the instructions that follow for the correct installation procedures. (1) Remove the former fender assembly or platform support assembly from the machine; see the Service Manual. Install new fender assembly (1) or platform support assembly (2) where the former parts were removed. Cut the lamp terminal end of the headlight harness to remove 150.0 mm (6.0") of the outer cover. Pull turn signal wires (3) (L.H.-yellow/brown); and (4) (R.H.-white/red) out of the headlight harness. Put electrical tape over the headlight wires. Put turn signal wire (3) through tube (5) on the rear side of fender (1). Put turn signal wire (4) through tube (6) on the rear side of support (2). Use 6V3000 Sure Seal Repair Kit to install a 7N9737 Housing and 7N7779 Socket on turn signal wires (3) and (4); install a 7N9738 Housing and 7N7780 Pin on the wires from the turn signal lamps. Install 9G3695 Plugs in the holes that are not used in the housings. See Special Instruction Form SMHS7531, "USE OF 6V3000 SURE SEAL REPAIR KIT", for the correct use of the repair kit. Connect wires (3) and (4) to the turn signal lamp wires.
