Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the installation procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Position heating and air conditioning unit (15). Install bolts (16 ). Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 22 2 N m (16 2 lb ft). Connect harness assemblies (17), (18) and (19). Install cover (14). Install ducts (12) and (13).

Position support assembly (11) and harness assemblies (10) . Install bolts (6). Connect harness assemblies (10) onto clips (9). Connect harness assemblies (7) and (8).

Connect hose assemblies (4) and (5). Tighten hose assembly (4) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).

The refrigerant compressor is removed for clarity.
Open heater valves (3) and (2).
Close the engine hood.

Install sheet assembly (1).
Charge the air conditioner system with refrigerant. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools. End By:
Install the storage box and covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Storage box and Covers - Remove" .
